The Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art surgical facility that makes it possible for you, your child, or loved one to have non-emergency surgery and return home the same day.

The Surgery Center is designed and staffed for surgical procedures that can be performed safely on a same-day basis. We are able to offer patients a convenient and comfortable alternative to hospitalization. The Surgery Center is licensed and inspected by The Alabama Department of Public Health and accredited by AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care).

The Surgery Center opened in May, 2000. The Center is jointly owned (50% each) by RHMC, a subsidiary of Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center and Surgery Center Associates, L.L.C., which is composed of a group of local surgeons.

The Surgery Center is a multi-specialty facility located between Birmingham and Atlanta that provides outpatient surgery services for 45 areas surgeons. Specialties include ENT, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Oral Surgery, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry and Urology.

The facility has four state-of-the art operating rooms and two procedure rooms. The 15,000 square foot facility expanded in October of 2004 by adding an additional 18,000 square feet to meet the growing demand for services.
