History:

The Surgery Center opened in May, 2000. The Center is jointly owned (50% each) by RHMC, a subsidiary of Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center and Surgery Center Associates, L.L.C., which is composed of a group of local surgeons.

Services Offered:

The Surgery Center is a multi-specialty facility located between Birmingham and Atlanta that provides outpatient surgery services for 45 areas surgeons. Specialties include ENT, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Oral Surgery, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry and Urology.

Facility:

The facility has four state-of-the art operating rooms and two procedure rooms. The 15,000 square foot facility expanded in October of 2004 by adding an additional 18,000 square feet to meet the growing demand for services.
